Crux: The General Manager is tasked with the leadership of the District, whether it is the employees, the culture, and morale this is the responsibility of the General Manager.  It is the Board of Trustees job to approve a budget, create policy, and set goals, while overseeing the General Manager whom is tasked with achieving those goals. The District can still expand the Recreation Center, we have available funds, ability to Bond, and should take the time to do the project right with the focus on what the community needs. It Takes A Village

 

Trustees should listen to the people and have a constant pulse on the community.  I was asked to join the upcoming forum on September 5th @ 6:30PM at Sierra Nevada College and I am looking forward to hearing what you have to say.  You see, last year's Candidate Forum was a creative way to interact with the community while allowing the folks to have a voice, ask questions, and give feedback.
